Cube Hydro Partners Hires Juan Kimble, PE as Managing Director of Hydropower and Irwin Studen as Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer
Chevy Chase, MD – December 1, 2014 – Cube Hydro Partners, LLC, a company focused on hydropower infrastructure ownership and development, has hired Mr. Juan Kimble, PE as Managing Director of Hydropower, and Mr. Irwin Studen as Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer.
Mr. Kimble joins Cube Hydro Partners, LLC from Safe Harbor Water Power Corporation (SHWPC), where he served as President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Kimble brings over 25 years of experience in the power generation business.
In that role, Mr. Kimble led the company through significant changes including its conversion from a public utility to a merchant generator, development of a headwater agreement with a downriver dam, negotiation of an interconnection agreement with a former affiliate, and the development and the implementation of a North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) / Reliability First Corporation (RFC) compliance program. Prior to heading SHWPC, Mr. Kimble was the Director of Asset Operations for the Combustion Turbine Technology Group at Constellation Energy.
Mr. Studen joins Cube Hydro Partners, LLC from VendTek Systems, Inc., where he served as interim Chief Financial Officer and previously from GetWellNetwork, where he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Studen brings almost 20 years of CFO experience in publicly traded and privately held businesses.
Prior to GetWellNetwork, Mr. Studen served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for SXC Health Solutions (NASDAQ: CTRX, TSX: SXCI), currently a $9bn publicly traded Healthcare Information Technology company and as an M&A Consultant for a $10bn private equity firm, GTCR, LLC.

As CFO, Mr. Studen will be responsible for Cube Hydro Partners, LLC’s financial management and economic strategy.
